El Mas Sabroso Information

Tucked into the busy retail stretch at El Mas Sabroso, this spot feels like a welcome break from the usual chain-heavy dining scene around the Galleria. Walking in, the atmosphere leans casual and unpretentious, with colorful decor and the kind of background music that instantly signals you’re in for something flavorful and comforting rather than overly polished. It’s the kind of place where families, coworkers, and solo diners all seem equally at home.

The menu is where things really start to shine. There’s a strong focus on Latin-inspired comfort food, with a range that goes beyond the standard tacos and burritos you might expect. On a recent visit, the grilled meats stood out immediately-juicy, well-seasoned, and clearly cooked fresh to order. The portions are generous without feeling excessive, and the balance of flavors suggests a kitchen that knows its audience but still puts care into authenticity. Even the sides, like rice and beans, carry a depth that’s often overlooked in similar casual diners.

Service here feels genuine rather than rehearsed. Staff members are quick to offer suggestions if you’re new to the menu, and they seem to know the dishes well enough to guide you based on your preferences. During a busy lunch hour, the wait time stayed reasonable, which says a lot about how efficiently the place is run. It’s not fine dining, but that’s not the goal-what you get instead is consistency and a sense that customers are actually valued.

Location-wise, being right on Galleria Circle makes it an easy stop whether you’re shopping nearby or just passing through Hoover. Parking is straightforward, and the accessibility adds to its appeal as a go-to casual dining option. Based on a mix of personal experience and what you’ll find across various online reviews, the consensus is fairly consistent: people come back because the food delivers and the experience feels reliable.

There are moments where the menu could benefit from a bit more variety for repeat visitors, especially if you’re looking for lighter or more experimental options, but what’s there is executed well. For anyone craving hearty, flavorful dishes in a relaxed setting, El Mas Sabroso manages to hit that sweet spot between comfort and quality without overcomplicating things.

What People's Say About Place

As of 3/6/26 the truck is setup in the south end of the Home Depot parking lot. This is the Home Depot near the Galleria Mall. Good tacos. Fast service. Good prices

I stopped here during lunch while at work. They have daily specials. I chose the special for today, Thursday. Chicken chalupas were great. The chicken was seasoned well and the lettuce and cheese were equally fresh. The sauce was spicy and very tasty. Great food for a good price!

Best asada fries and burritos , seasoning is great. Big portion with nice prices

This is the best taco truck in Birmingham we have found. The guys that run it are friendly and the food is great. We’ve tried the quesadillas, tortas, fries, and tacos so far and can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

Had the Sabroso Combo and it was very good. Lots of flavor and very good quality ingredients. A must visit anytime I'm in Hoover.

I kept seeing and hearing about this truck so I had to go & I was not disappointed! They were super friendly and suggested the best thing for me to try the combo with a taco, sope and a gordita!!! The meat was flavorful and came in generous portions and the sauces were on point! Overall it was awesome and so good!!!! This is my new place! Can’t wait to try more!!!

We love eating and trying new taco trucks. As of today, these are, by far, the BEST tacos we’ve had in the Hoover, AL area. We tried the lengua, alpastor, cueritos, asada, and cabeza tacos. We also tried their Friday special “gorditas” de chicharrón prensado. WOW is all i have to say. Fresh and delicious!!! All the meats were so flavorful. The salsa roja and verde were just right. The agua de pepino with limon was so refreshing. Great costumer service. 10/10 recommend. Will definitely be back!!! Their name says it all “EL MAS SABROSO” !!!!

This is seriously some of the best tacos I’ve had in Birmingham if not ever. It is a little taco truck in the home depot parking lot. I come here like once a week because they are sooo good and pretty cheap. Great street tacos and great salsa.
